As our mission states, we are here to foster learning and support Irish culture in the St. Charles Missouri area as well as American culture in the Inishowen region of Ireland.

Every year, St. Charles Sister Cities – Irish Chapter (SCSC-IC) holds an Irish Festival in St. Charles that features Irish Music and Dancing, Irish Cultural exhibits, Irish vendors, Irish food and a children’s village with an Irish theme.

More than 10,000 visitors come and join us at this free 3 day festival. This is by far one of the biggest free Irish festivals in the Midwest. Our volunteers and committee members make it possible by helping plan and execute the festival.

SCSC-IC also has a student exchange each year. This rotating exchange, odd years, Ireland comes to the states and even years, the states goes to Ireland. Students stay with host families, go on excursions, attend school and discover the diverse world around them.

Joining St. Charles Sister Cities – Irish Chapter helps us to expand these cultural awareness programs.

In addition to the festival and student exchanges, we have regular meetings, fun activities, learning opportunities and special outings that increase our own awareness of the local Irish community. Please consider joining today!
